Our Office Staff

Our office is very casual and we try to greet you by name when you enter. Our staff members are always eager to help you with scheduling, financing, and any other concerns. If you have any questions, call us and our office administrators will do all they can to assist you.

Our Dental Staff

During your first visit, you’ll meet a member of our dental support staff. They set-up for the doctor, manage our digital x-rays, and address any concerns you may have about procedures or treatments you are undergoing. These professionals are highly-trained, have years of experience and most importantly, know how to make your dental appointment pleasant.

Our Hygiene Staff

Our hygienists know that you have a lot going on in your life. If it’s been a few years since your last check-up, and you are feeling any anxiety, our hygienists have a very gentle touch. Their priority is to first make you at ease while they clean your teeth and then to suggest ways to enhance your dental routine.

Our Doctors

Dr. Ron Hawkins began his practice in Lubbock in 1976 after graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. Raised in the Dallas area, he graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.S. in Physics. He is also a graduate of The University of Texas at Dallas with a M.S. in Physics. In addition to his postgraduate training, Dr. Hawkins continues to study the ever-evolving field of dentistry by attending continuing education courses. At the Dawson Center & Las Vegas Institute, he has furthered his studies on occlusion, cosmetics, full mouth reconstructions, and a variety of other courses. He is also IMTEC mini implant certified.

Dr. Hawkins is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Plains District Dental Society, and Texas Dental Association. He is also a professional member of Sigma Phi Sigma, a former master of Toastmasters and a deacon at Southcrest Baptist Church.

Dr. Britt Bostick joined Dr. Hawkins in 1988 after graduation from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1984 with a B.S. in Zoology and Chemistry. Dr. Bostick has studied numerous post graduate topics such as the latest cosmetic techniques, advanced restorative procedures and numerous other techniques which make dental appointments faster and more comfortable for his patients.

Dr. Bostick is a member of the South Plains District Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association and serves as a deacon at First Christian Church.

Dr. Mayada Khater joined Abbeville in 1998 after graduating from University of Texas Dental School in Houston. Raised in Lubbock, she graduated from Texas Tech University in 1993 with a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology and Chemistry. Dr. Khater also keeps up to date on the latest research and technology by attending continuing education courses. She is a member of the South Plains District Dental Society and the American Dental Association. Dr. Khater has extensive experience with cosmetic procedures and is Invisalign certified (the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces). She enjoys performing smile makeovers and seeing the impact it can make in her patients lives. Dr. Khater is also very good with children, putting their fears at ease and teaching them how to take care of their teeth.

Jimmy B, Lovering, DDS graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Biology and continued on to Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Lovering performs general and cosmetic dentistry and enjoys giving patients the ability to smile with confidence again. He is the Community Health Chair of the South Plains District Dental Society and a member of American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.

About Our Community Service

At Abbeville, we believe in supporting the community. Once a year, our entire office donates a day to Give Kids a Smile, an organization that provides dental services to kids who do not have access to quality dental care.

We also contribute to charitable organizations year round. If you are a new patient, ask us about our contribution coupon. When you present this coupon, we will donate $10 of our fee for your visit to the Ronald McDonald House, or other local charity.
